The Dagat Association occurs in the Dent Peninsula, notably west and south of Dagat and close to the coastline near Tungku.
It occurs on moderate hills with slopes mainly between 10° and 20°, which are formed from slump deposits in which tuffaceous rocks, including tuff and tuffite. Sandstone and mudstone are dominant.
